Key Points for Installation and Maintenance of Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Proper installation and maintenance are critical to guarantee the service life and running accuracy of deep groove ball bearings.
· Before installation: Check the dimensional tolerance, cleanliness and chamfer of the shaft and housing bore, avoid damaging seals and cages.
· During installation: Hot mounting or special pressing tools are preferred. Force shall be applied on the end face of the pressed ring. Never transmit mounting force through rolling elements.
· Lubrication: Select grease or oil according to working conditions, control filling quantity. Excessive lubricant will lead to temperature rise and noise.
· Operation & Maintenance: Monitor temperature rise, abnormal noise and vibration; regularly inspect seals and lubrication status. Stop the machine in time for troubleshooting once abnormalities are found.
